The Fleet Air Arm Fighter School based at RNAS Yeovilton has provided basic and advanced training for fighter aircrews as well as for fighter direction officers from 1940 onwards.


In this commemorative painting, the airfield and Yeovilton village, with St Bartholomew's, the Fleet Air Arm church, form the background.


The aircraft portrayed are a selection from the vast number of types which have operated from this Air Station.
