No 315 (City of Deblin) Squadron RAF was one of six Polish squadrons during WWII.


Its celebrated leader was the Polish ace Eugeniusz Horbaczewski or "Dzubek" who achieved 16½ victories before he was lost in battle.


The painting shows Mustang IIIs of the unit providing cover for a Lancaster force.
